Austin Osman Spare

Who ever thought thus? Some perspectives on the philosophy of The Book of Pleasure by Gavin W. Semple. The gentleman also wrote a book called Zos-Kia: An Introductory Essay on the Art and Sorcery of Austin Osman Spare. Both of which are wonderful and illuminating reads.

This was a privately released publication, in 2 editions, for subscribers to Fulgur. I have to say that for a small 14 page booklet this one explained so much about Spare’s philosophy. It’s a shame that it is not more widely available.
